The Wellness Center is founded on the belief that we were created to share with one another in our burdens and that true healing and peace is given to us by God. We are here to offer care and support in group and seminar settings to address a variety of concerns.
Walking in Freedom: Managing Anxiety and Depression
This group is open to men and women ages 18 and up who struggle with anxiety and depression. Join us for this 8-week class beginning September 13th, Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00pm. This group will be facilitated by licensed counselors, Ali Capurro (LPC) and Alaina Henry (LPC).
2Whether your marriage is happy or troubled, the Seven Principles Couples Workshop is designed to help strengthen your relationship. This class is facilitated by licensed counselors Gene Auker (LPC), and April Auker (LCSW). Join us Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00pm, September 27th through November 15th in Room 13. Cost is $40 per couple for materials.
The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work
DivorceCare is designed to ease the painful and difficult transition of divorce through group counseling. This group meets weekly over the course of ten weeks. The next session will be Spring of 2018.
GriefShare is a program with direction and purpose. With GriefShare you will learn how to walk the journey of grief and be supported along the way. It is a place where grieving people find healing and hope. This is a thirteen-week study beginning Wednesday, September 6th. The class will meet in Room 4/5 from 6:30 to 8:00pm. There is a suggested donation of $20 per person to cover the cost of the workbook. Please register online.
Pure Desire addresses issues of sexual addiction in men. This is a safe space to confront issues of sexual sin and seek accountability on your journey towards freedom. This group is for men only and will meet on a weekly basis over the course of twelve weeks. The next session will be announced soon.
We periodically offer seminars in partnership with the Impact Center to encourage questions and group dialogue about difficult subjects. These seminars are held for one night, typically on a weekday evening, and include a time for questions and answers following presentations from pastors and guest speakers. We have previously offered seminars on the topics of homosexuality, the LDS faith, and abortion. Check back for upcoming events.
