The mission of Refuge Counseling Center is to offer faith-based, professional counseling services that provide a path toward healing and transformation. We offer support for children, teens, adults, couples, and families across a wide range of concerns.
Faith-based Counseling
We implement a holistic model that addresses all domains of wellness, including mental, emotional, spiritual, relational, and physical. We believe that by integrating psychological principles with theological truths, people can be empowered with the tools needed to gain freedom and hope for a different future. We are honored to work with people from a variety of worldviews and faith backgrounds, and we strive to uphold the dignity of all people.
Compassionate Support
We believe that counseling can benefit people in practical and profound ways by bringing clarity to past experiences, issues of conflict, personal concerns, and relationships. As such, our licensed counselors work collaboratively with clients to explore their stories, strengths, and values and identify ways to bring about positive change. Each counselor can integrate faith into the counseling journey according to the client’s wishes.
Affordable Services
We believe the entire community benefits when we practice generosity that helps others in practical ways. Therefore, Refuge aims to offer affordable and accessible services that meet the needs of our community. Our regular fees are set below market value for similar services in the Treasure Valley, and each of our counselors can offer a limited number of reduced-rate and scholarship sessions for those needing financial assistance.
Ministry Coaching
Refuge also partners with coaches who specialize in collaborating with pastors and ministry leaders to find practical strategies for enhancing various areas of life, including work, ministry, spiritual growth, relationships, and personal wellbeing.
